WATLOW FIREROD® Immersion Heaters


Watlow’s immersion heaters are designed primarily for direct immersion in liquids such as water, oils, solvents and process solutions, molten materials as well as air and gases. By generating all the heat within the liquid or process, these heaters are virtually 100 percent energy efficient. These versatile heaters can also be formed and shaped into various geometries for radiant heating and contact surface heating applications. UL® and CSA component recognized elements are available.

Product Description

FIREROD® water immersion heaters are ideal for replacing large screw-plug immersion heaters. The heater packages up to 300 W/in2 (46.5 W/cm2) in a compact unit, thus the product can be very versatile when designed into a heating system.

These water immersion heaters come complete with a brass 3⁄4 inch National Pipe Thread Taper (NPT) double threaded fitting, which allows you to add conduit boxes. Also, FIREROD immersion heaters are sealed at the lead end with a silicone rubber seal.

Solid copper leads, with silicone rubber sleeves, are provided for unrestricted wiring. These units are recommended for immersion in water or 90+ percent water soluble solutions.
